Lunch & Learn Lecture Series
Date: Tuesday, June 17
Venue: Polk County History Center, Bartow
- The Polk County History Center invites guests to bring lunch and listen to a guest speaker on the third Tuesday monthly.
- June’s speaker is Dr. Dan Murphree, and the topic is Seminole people.

Classic Albums Live
Date: Thursday, June 19
Venue: The Lakeland Center
- Max 98.3 and Classic Albums Live take classic albums and recreates them live on stage – note for note, cut for cut.
- The June 19 scheduled Classic Albums Live performance is Paul McCartney – Band on the Run.

Lake Wales Arts Center Concert Series
Date: Friday, June 20
Venue: Polk State Lake Wales Arts Center
- Up Close & Personal continues Friday, June 20, with gospel music performances by Ryan Horton and The Lunsford Sisters.

Innoskate Lakeland
Date: Friday, June 20 – Saturday, June 21
Venue: Polk Museum of Art, Lakeland
- The Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center created Innoskate in 2013, and now the celebration of skateboard culture is coming to Polk Museum of Art, a Smithsonian Affiliate museum.
- Innoskate Lakeland will include a skateboarding festival — with skating, clinics and more — at the Lakeland SkatePark on Lake Bonny and skateboard art exhibitions, panel discussions and demonstrations at PMoA.

Ritz Film Festival
Date: Friday, June 20 – Sunday, June 22
Venue: Ritz on Central, Winter Haven
- The Ritz Film Festival will include children, family-friendly, documentary, short, feature, and classic film.

Astronomy Night at Circle B
Date: Saturday, June 21
Venue: Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland
- Enjoy an astronomy workshop including a presentation on Mt. Lemmon Observatory located in Arizona with discussion and photography.

Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team Show
Date: Saturday, June 21
Venue: Lake Silver, Winter Haven
- The Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team (reestablished in 2012 by former theme park employees) is back and performs monthly shows every third Saturday on Lake Silver in Winter Haven.

SPCA Florida Little Paws Kitten Shower
Date: Saturday, June 21
Venue: SPCA Florida, Lakeland
- Join SPCA Florida for its first annual Little Paws Kitten Shower to raise awareness of “Kitten Season” and the need for foster homes and supplies.
- In exchange for items from SPCA Florida’s Kitten Shower Wish List, shower attendees will enjoy door prizes, games, refreshments and of course lots of cute and cuddly kittens to play with.

Terra Incognita: Photographs of America’s Third Coast
Date: Saturday, June 21 – Saturday, September 13
Venue: Polk Museum of Art, Lakeland
- On loan from the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans, Louisiana, this exhibition is a photographic project of 15 years’ duration (1991-2006) by nationally recognized photographer and author Richard Sexton.

Polk County All Sports Awards
Date: Tuesday, June 24
Venue: The Lakeland Center
- The 14th annual Polk County All Sports Awards will recognize Polk County athletes, coaches and administrators, both past and present, in an evening dedicated to showcasing the year’s top sports performers and teams as well as the induction of 5 new members of the Polk County Sports Hall of Fame.
